The third edition of the Nepal Premier League is the first to be officially recognised by the ICC, and the first with DRS in every match. The top four after the league stage go into IPL-style playoffs: Qualifier 1 (1st v 2nd) on 17 November, the Eliminator (3rd v 4th) on 18 November, Qualifier 2 on 19 November and the final under lights on Saturday 21 November.
Sudurpaschim Royals have reached both previous finals and lost both — to Janakpur Bolts by five wickets in 2024 and to Lumbini Lions by six wickets in 2025. Lumbini finished only fourth in the 2025 league table before winning the Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final.
